Black Necked Stork
The rare wading bird Black Necked Stork (Ephippiorhynchus asiaticus) is the tallest and the largest bird in Sri Lanka althouogh the smaller Lesser Adjutant (Leptoptilus Javanicus) is heavier. This is a scarce and mysterious stork that normally lives in south-east area of Sri lanka. No one clearsly know if this is a migrant bird or resident bird as they haven't found nests in Sri Lanka.
